What are you going to do

Our client is a large international company with ambitious growth plans. An important part of these ambitious growth plans is intended to be realized through active and targeted acquisitions, in Belgium and Europe. In this context, our client wishes to strengthen the internal M&A team.

As a legal advisor, you will become the legal specialist in all M&A projects. You will be involved in all different phases of M&A projects: carrying out due diligence investigations, drafting and negotiating term sheets and final transaction documents, supporting closing transactions and supervising post-closing integration,... .

You will work closely togetherwith your colleagues from the M&A team with a financial background, the internal Corporate Legal service, as well as with external advisors and experts.

In addition to mergers and acquisitions, you also support in special investment projects, such as: real estate investments, strategic financing operations or other investment projects in tech start-ups and scale-ups.

What we expect

  • You have a master's degree in law, with or without an additional diploma in finance, economics or management.
  • You can rely on a minimum of 3 to 5 years (or more!) of relevant legal experience in M&A, corporate finance or private equity.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English. Knowledge of other European languages ​​(e.g. German, Spanish) is a plus.
  • You have excellent negotiation and writing skills.
  • You are able to be the primary in-house attorney for M&A and other corporate finance projects, including handling multiple transactions or projects at the same time.
