Azuro is recruiting a medior and senior (Azure) Cloud Engineer for a financial institution.
What are you going to do
Our client is a financial institution that is on the forefront of new technological innovations such as digitalization, data analytics and artificial intelligence. Cloud Engineering is part of their core strategy and they are well ahead in this domain on a European and even International level. The Cloud Engineering department consist of +- 25 people and we are currently recruiting 2 extra cloud architects to join the team.
The team is building the IT platform of the future in the Azure cloud. A resilient and high-security platform for the most critical applications. The platform will enable innovative projects and new technology.
But the team does not only build an IT platform, it is also the engine of a fundamental transformation of the way IT is consumed in the organisation: by focusing on Agile, DevOps, IT and self-service and automation. It encourages other teams to apply these new methods to make all of the bank's IT projects more flexible.
As a Cloud Architect you will actively contribute to that transformation, while being responsible for the components of the new platform:
- You will research, analyze and challenge the needs of internal customers to strengthen the cloud-native approach.
- You will translate those needs into the design of the solution, develop them and guarantee their reliability and security.
- You will continuously improve and further optimize those components.
- You will also act as an advisor and coach for internal clients, helping them to adopt best (cloud) practices and a new way of working.

What we expect
- You have a Master degree, or are equivalent by experience.
- You have a very good knowledge of English and have some knowledge of Dutch or French.
- You have experience in Application or Infrastructure Architecture.
- You have a very strong interest in cloud engineering and are passionate about new technological evolutions.
- You have knowledge of Automation (for example: ARM, Terraform, Ansible…).
- You have a good mix of knowledge in development (automation, version control, CI / CD, testing ...) and in infrastructure (networking, middleware, databases, containers, monitoring ...).
- You have experience in devising highly resilient components or architectures.
- You have knowledge of application and infrastructure security.
